Any Alternatives To A/C?
OH! I would have never thought of that, perhaps you could stick a pipe to the vent system and then stick the other one to the front of the grille or something and then put a filter in between somewhere so bugs and dirt won't get in.
Not quite sure how it is going to work out though

fflint_18 you should consider becoming a weather man! Seriously!
Right after your post about how Washington is hot for like 2 months and then it gets cold; the heat wave left! And now its back to those cloudy, rainy, makes you want to commit suicide type of days!

Here in sunny So Cal it doesnt get much hotter than here. Locally, temps can be 90 plus any given day of the year, seriously. I find that I can do things to minimize the heat that gets into the car to reduce my use of AC.
Park in the shade if you can.
Tint your windows
Crack your windows and sunroof if you park in sun to let heat out. Also, crack the underneath slider of the sunroof.
Use a windshield cover
I find that collecively these are helpful in reducing heat to the cabin of the car.

the heat compels people to do some strange things,
Ive just gotten use to it in big black if its extremely hot i just dont drive, when i say hot i mean 95+, everything else as long as the car is moving its not a problem, There have been times when im in traffic thou where my temper flares because of BS, that said i still want to fix it an infiniti without AC?
since big black is down my other car has been spoiling me because its AC works perfectly without any flaws, and i use it 24/7

cheap from the local pull a part(i swear theres only ONE way to
get the headliner and roof assembly out without removing the pass seat)
also unclogged the drain at the antenna drain\R rear roof drain junction(also added the missing cowl and cleaned the leaves out of the blower motor box)
and used fabric spray paint to make a black headliner and pillar covers
this has held up well all these years but since i sprayed the plastics
mounted to the headliner they have small chips that i can touch up
maybe next time i want to learn to recover it in suede
the sunroof on my 92 se has been fine 2 years and counting
and yeah both a\c works ,91= r134 conversion kit me,92=r-12 likely

and works well in combination with the fresh vent on\off feature and
re circulate on or off
i also try to run it a few seconds here and there in fall and spring
this is all in the owners manual tho
When outside temperatures are HOTTER than the temperature of your car I think it doesn't matter.
And also, why in the name of all things cold, would I NOT roll down my windows if I am hot inside the car? The reason I even made this thread is because all methods I tried did not effectively cool the car enough to make the trip comfortable and that includes ROLLING down the WINDOWS and OPENING the SUNROOF and so I was asking our fellow .Org members what they did to cool themselves when they did not have their A/C
And please don't tell me to RECHARGE my A/C because I did that, and do you want to know what happened to the entire can? It was in a nice little pool under the car because there is a hole the side of a dime in my A/C system and replacing it will cost me an estimated $500 dollars and so I was looking for a way out of that situation

Ah I figured, there is no such invention out there to replace the A/C besides repairing your A/C

Kicking out the windshield sounds like a plan except you'll have more problems during winter with snow in the car. Its 1:20AM guess I'd better get some sleep and start praying to find that hole in the A/C line.

Leo, how hot does it even get up there? Like high of 80 degrees? I would love to have that kind of weather and scenery you guys have. I know you guys probably have some hot days. Imagine living down south, like your AZ, TX, LA, AL, FL counterparts. Today is a not so bad day in Houston, it's only going to be a high of 95 degrees with chance of showers which makes it feel like only 102 due to humidity.

But I wasn't the only one complaining, I mean I lived in Washington my whole life and the hottest it ever got was 80-89 F tops, but all of a sudden this year the summer temperature jumped 20 F and that is something most people on the west side is not used to.
And you are right about the people down south, although their temperatures are hot ALWAYS, the people down there are used to it. So to them its no big deal. But if the temperature jumped 20 F from their normal 90 or 100 I am sure there are going to be some people complaining.
