What do you think of it?
This is always a topic of debate in the 4th gen forum, with a small group of people who have never had one insisting that they don't work, are a waste of money, etc.
Just wondering, of those who have (or have had) one who's happy with it and who's not.

I would have liked a legit. poll of UDP owners to see if I am way off base or not. But thanks to a certin few, I guess that can't be accomplished.

Amazing how many posts there are and not one which addresses the question which was asked - and it always seems to be the same idiots who post useless responses and messages. These are the same jerks who go around speeding on public streets at 130 mph and think it's cool. As I've said before - with luck they will remove themselves from the gene pool shortly and thus improve the human race.
Anyway....
In answer to your question, I have had a UDP on my 99 SE for a little over 2 years. There *is* a performance improvement, although it is not dramatic. The car revs a bit more quickly and has a bit more bottom end torque. I have not had any problems with it at all. Effectiveness of the A/C and alternator is theoretically reduced although I did not notice any difference in either. I think it was a worthwhile mod overall because it is cheap and easy to do, just don't expect neck-breaking gains.
