If you can do it without the CEL coming on let me know... nothing bothers me more than the CEL...makes me think my baby is hurt or somethin... If not I will pay for the RSM...no biggie... what's one more mod?

Well, I agree, but I know if its only on a short period it doesnt come on. And theres a big diff between a $6 fix and a $260 fix, even if you get the G sensor for it. PLus the fact its a 10 min install for the switch. I say, do it, with the switch and see how it works for you. if it doesnt take out the switch and get the RSM....

)... some of our runs were for 3 to 4 minute clips... If it will stay off for that long then I may be down... Give me an idea of what you did... I guess I can put that case of 2 color switches to use... 1 color for normal ECU operation and the other for deactivated speed sensor.... ahhahhahaha... although the RSM is a prtty pimp toy... I am going to need a HUGE alternator soon... Any ideas on that WhiteMax?

Ya, get yours rewound. Or install a 5hp gas generator in the trunk!
All you do is find the pink wire with the blue stripe in the right hand side of the wiring harness, snip it about 2 inches from the harness, and splice in a switch, mounted where you want it.I put mine in the center change holder. Leave it on to keep the CEL from coming on, and turn it off when you want to go fast. Only took me 10 min.

My car is frequently over the century mark, and I would ALWAYS want to know if there was a system fault, as soon as it happens. How people drive around with CELs on months on end without checking to see if a new code popped up blows my mind.

And your point about the CEL at 100+ is EXACTLY what I was thinking... We're on the same wavelength on that.

Yeah... Quaife install should be done in a week or so, and then the clutch job will be done early the week after... so week and a half...

But how do you always know that is WHY the light is on... there could be another fault... and you may get it confused with the Speed sensor one.. that is my concern.

Funny that Doogie refuses to be on the same wavelength. I'm thinking that his bulb under the CEL is going to burn out before he actually tries to make it turn off permanently.
