This.

With my Maxima, I had my door caved in on top of a long list of other dents, dings, and scratches from oblivious people. All of them just took off and left me with the problems.

Now, I keep my car garaged. I get to work early enough to get the one spot on the lot that I have a 99.999999999999999999% of never even being in the position to get damage. Now if only I could keep salt off the roads

atleast the guy didn't run away. My car was involved in a hit & run, managed to get the license plate, but damn police hasn't done anything about it. Now I am stuck with a ****ed up left quarter panel and rear bumper. Just be happy yours got fixed.

Well there have been some issues that have come up since the hit, Insurance is still in the process........... Tire rubs when i hit a decent bump, weird growning and squeaks from the rear, Check engine light comes on and off..... something got tweaked up back there, it was pushed into the curb pretty hard, the rim took concreate off the curb where it hit.

Well, whatever happens make sure you get what you deserve for the car. Which is never the first offer... Also, if they total it, make sure you get the buy back rights! Between those two things, you'll be alright. Either fix the car yourself, or part it, and get something to replace it.

Good luck man!

I wouldnt be too pissed at that because the guy did not take off, he actually called it in. He could have just drove off, atleast who ever this was man'd up and took responsibility for their mistake.

His insurance is taking car of it but dont scold this person too much, just giving credit where credit is due, too many stories of hit-n-runs

Yeah i know what you mean, i did not call or complain at all, it just seems its taking forever, it happened on december 16th , but the next day after the adjuster was here i got a $3500 check for repairs and a free rental, just the weather, holidays etc takeing its toll.

I have similar damage, the shop cut the rear quarter out and will add a donor panel in. Did they do this for you or did they pull the dent and bondo it smooth? I am still waiting a week or two to go before I get it back. I am also getting two new doors.

They completely removed the entire quarter, they had to remove the glass, you can see in the door where the new panel starts.

Luckily you are not injured and this will be an easy fix. My wife got a similar accident on my max, the guys couldn't stop his car on the red light because of the iced road. It got fix and there is no trace left of that accident. Good luck with the repair.

I cant figure out how to post pictures .. or I would show you my car. It got hit by a 199-something Jeep Cherokee that was lifted .. and had a home made metal bumper on it! It really effed up my car good, in the exact same spot as yours!
