The G-Tech is just a fancy accelerometer. It measures the G-forces of acceleration and from that it can integrate over time to get your speed, and then calculate things like 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

It's no replacement for a real track time slip, though, but it's good for simple tuning exercises if you don't have easy access to a dyno or track like me. I have one, but really haven't used it that much. I'm keeping it for when I get my next car

I got mine new for $150 or whatever it is from the site Kev posted, but I'd try to find one used on eBay if I were you. There's always a couple there for cheap.

Right now it's just an expensive toy that sits in my glove compartment doing nothing 99.999999999999999% of the time. I'd feel better if I had gotten one used, but that's okay - it'll have some use again soon since I'm done "tuning" my Accord V6 and am moving on to better things
