Flasher replacement. Where is the flasher??

My driver side blinker is going too fast. Blinks fine with hazard though. Checked all the bulbs and they are all good. This leads me to believe the flasher is busted. Where is it located and anyone know how much is it?

it's under the dash to the right of the steering column. it's a pain to get at too. you have to move your driver seat all the way back and get way underneath. turn on the blinker and get a flashlight and you will hear it.

I can hear it click and it does sounds like coming from the steering colum. Before I go and replace the part. Would a bad flasher only cause one side to blink faster? Or do I have some other problem?

that's were you got me. it's worth a shot to replace it i guess seeing as it's a 5 minute install and it's a 10 dollar or so part. i bought an aftermarket 4x accelerator one for 22 bucks. try a differenent bulb first, if that doesn't work try replacing it. even find another maxima and trade quickly and then if that's what it is buy one. it's a cheap easy part to replace.

quick question, i have LED bulbs in my blinkers and they flash too fast because they take so little energy. is there somewhere i can get a flasher that will go at a normal speed? also, where do they sell flashers? autozone? what's the part number and all that?

i think the blinker flashers are a universal part. the one i got on ebay was for almsot any vehicle. here's what you could do to get yours to slow down. tap a high wattage lights. like a 1156 27watt light off you blinker light power line and just hang it somewhere so it thinks it's drawing more power and they might slow down. i don't know hwere you can get a de-celerator one

You can get flashers anywhere. I usually do at gas stations if needed for like 3 bucks. You just pop out the old one and plug in the new.
