Its been a long time since I last posted.

Anyways, I was looking online and noticed Hitachi makes ignition coils for my 2001 Maxima.

Looked deeper into this and have come to the conclusion that Hitachi is probably one of Nissan's main OEM suppliers (at least as far as Ignition Coils go).

Why do I think this?

#1- Wikipedia page for the Nissan Industrial Group here (I know not the best source) says Nissan and Hitachi have a close relationship.

#2- Nissan and Hitachi are involved in a bunch of other partnerships. A cursory google search here says Nissan and Hitachi are merging forklift business (I know that has nothing to do with cars but that gives a good indication of how close the two companies are).

#3- And Hitachi only make Nissan ignition coils. See the website here and their pdf file here.

My question is..... is this common knowledge on this website? (that Hitachi makes a lot of Nissan's OEM parts).

I was just wondering because most people don't seem to know about this close relationship between the two companies (at least that what some quick Google searches tell me).

ps- Naples Nissan in Naples, Florida sucks. They tried to rip me off yesterday but luckily I knew better and eventually got my money's worth.
