I really hope part 2 will be much better
a second part? like the story in the first one was that great, i guess its not the story, people like a good rush sometimes, just hope they put more car races in it, leave the bad acting out.

I went to my local video store on SAt. and they had um behind the counter and I got the lady to sell one to me! I was very happy. The extras are cool and it was a good movie too.

Ok...first the three black cars with green neon were civics...next, does anyone's DVD skip right after the BBQ scene, I think thats the one...I notice it in most DVD's, there is a scene that freezes in between scenes...I notice it on several disks and decks..so I know its not just me...it drives me crazy...

I just got the DVD and watched it again. It reminded me of how stupid it was. Its so innacurate and so stupid. I liked the 10 minute quarter mile race, where they got up to 170, spraying two 100 shot bursts of NO2. How dumb. I liked how the best way they could think of stopping a truck is to harpoon over from a moving car. What the hell is that? i liked how the civics can drive under a big rig. Ha, that was just hilarious. Apparently, the producers have never been to illegal street races, cause if they were really like that I would never leave. All in all, it was a terrible movie, but it was kinda intertaining. And the special features suck a$$. What kind of movie has a maxima in it and doesnt even show it. DUMB!

I was disappointed that there were no scenes of the Max.

What's up with that?

It is kind of a ricey movie, but I don't mind seeing the Supra and the Skyline, even if they do have cheesy graphics on the sides. The RX-7 isn't bad either.

Vyrus-the hijack cars, Hector's cars, and a few of the cars at the race were Civics, but I imagine the guys watching it in their cars were into it for all the cool realism, tight wings, and badass graphics. For them, it's like watching their life on DVD, or at least that's what they think.

Exactly!

I don't have the "I wanna go out and light up my tires" feeling even after watching the movie. All I wanted to do was to laugh my *** off... "Dude, turn up the boost and you'll be running 9's!"

How about the first face of the movie, before they take off they all have fire coming out of the exhaust. Also the take off looks very fake. I didn't get the DVD yet, but I remember from the movie. When they started they show the backs of the 4 cars. It would be funny if Ja Rule's car and the white civic had their tires spinning (considering they are front wheel drive)

What I thought was weird was when Paul Walker spun out the green Eclipse at the beginning of the movie, because I noticed that the reverse lights were on. Why would the reverse lights be on when he spun out in drive?? I was also laughing my @ss off when that guy said; "If you tune your NOS timer, you'll be running 9's". BALLLLZZ!!!

His personal car was (and a fugly one at that), but the cars in his garage were Civics. I don't think you can have a riced movie without Civics...

and i have a few things to say....

1. i can fit underneath a semi truck like that civic.. i tried at a parked one, i didnt drive under it just right next to it to the edge of the sunroof.. pretty badass to showoff.

2. you see the NoS line under the eclipse because they wanted to show it had just been thrown on really quickly..

3. Rob Cohen (director of this movie) is the first director to make a movie about street racing and imports and shows and all that, so why are we knocking something that we all partake in.. i hope this leads to many other awesome movies.. yeah it's cheesy and we know a lot and can pick it apart..

4. this movie is better than... oh yeah, there are no other racing/import/hooked up car movies.

5. side port exhaust is completely fake on the maxima, they used the shells of the cars basically..

6. bad acting, poor attention to detail, and not enough maxima make this a crappy movie to some, but i still love to see really nice cars on DVD in my car and that's what its worth to me.

and my friend is an up and coming director and knows some things about rob cohen and F and F 2.. should be a better movie.. rob cohen is an awesome guy to talk to and so is paul walker, just because i have..

The DVD is worth buying and the extra feature section gives a good glimpse of the Maxima as well as the other Nissan's in the movie. I just wanted to hear other people's thoughts on the dvd or things that I might have missed on it.

I have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about: "and the extra feature section gives a good glimpse of the Maxima as well as the other Nissan's in the movie." I watched all the extras and there is no additional footage of the Max. not seen in the movie.

?????

P.s. Mine was $16.88 at Wal-Mart in S.D. CA.

You have to admit though, even though some parts of the movie seem fake and there should have been some more races, Jordana Brewster is so totally hot. So just watch here over and over again.

The movie is fun to watch. Just take it for what it is worth, a movie and entertainment.

Went to get my copy at Circuit City in Danbury, and they were all OUT !!!

On a side note, F&F is like **** or BayWatch, you don't watch it for the plot, acting or dialouge, you watch it for the babes, the cars and the action !

The side-ported exhaust on the maxima in fast and the furious is fake. Have you ever seen Craig Liberman's car at any show?? He has a Ractive Exhaust setup.. looks identical to my muffler. It was all "fa sho."
