Battery question

What battery do you guys recommend for good cold starting?

The stock battery on my 99 SE seems to be going. I'm not looking to spend a bundle on an Optima battery, 'cause I don't think I'd need it. Just something that I can pick up at a local auto store.

Die Hard? Interstate?

In only 2 to 3 years? Maybe because of cold weather? My 96 original battery is still OK now. The cranking speed is not quite the same as it was new but I guess it'll last me at least another year. I pour in maybe three times of distilled water. Sorry a little off the topic.

Well, I left my dome light on the other day and it died. I jumped the car and everything was fine, but now every time I start the car cold, it has a really, really hard time.

I'm gonna get the charging system tested first. Just wanted to know what a good replacement battery would be if I needed to replace it.

If you have a Costco nearby they have great prices on Batterys. They are branded Kirkland, but are made by the major companies.

Most of them have great warranties as well. Check it out.

My stock battery lasted 4 years before it gave up the ghost in my office underground parking. Good thing BCAA (AAA for you U.S. guys) carries Interstate batteries for sale in their roadside service trucks.

I've always had good service from DieHards, but you know what? It may be a little cheesy but I have a walmart battery in my wife's pathfinder and the other day it gave me a little weak start, not dead, but weak and I took it back to walmart and got a free replacement. You need to get a battery with the most free replacement time, it's definetly worth it.

I know that pep boys sell them. They have the blue top and the red top, but not the yellow top. I know red is good for cold starting and the yellow is good for a lot of accessories.

But you don't even have a car. If you did you would know Optima batteries are designed for stereo use, but can be used for the whole car. They're not designed for starting though.
