How much to install a cat-back and Y ? and welding? Need some HELP
Well my custom dual cat-back exhaust just came in the mail today along with my Y-pipe sitting in my room. The catback is in about 4 peices and needs to be welded and bolted on.
I have NO idea how much this is gonna cost. Can anyone give me an estimate on the Y+Catback+welding ? Thanks

It all depends...
Well, firstly it all runs though 1 muffler right?(That's a biggie) Does anything have to be created? I know your bumper will be cut, but what I'm saying is will that have to create a 1-2 cat splitter and run the piping or do you allready have that? Considering that you will have 2 sets of hangars, I'm guessing you'll pay about $300 including the y. But you need to be more specific on what exactly you got. Is it a setup like 1/3there2/3togo's?

You are too smart for your age
Is it a setup like 1/3there2/3togo's?

Yes definatally no chain stores. Under 200 for all this seems reasonable..

with duals you'll loose backpressure also if the catback piping is bigger than 2"....with loss in back pressure I think you lose torque as well. this is what the guys at WSP informed me when I was going to do duals.

My catback is 2.5" piping, the size that people say will not lose any power. Now, it goes just like a regular catback into a flomaster. the flomaster has 2 outlets and the pipe attaches to that and wraps itself around the spare tire and to the other side. those pipes that attach to the muffler are 2" or 2.25.
With 3" yes you would lose decent off the line power, but in theory with 2.5 or smaller you should not.

OHHHHHHHHH, I thought your were doing a DUAL EXHAUST(ie- two catback pipes into two mufflers)...you're just doing catback into a muffler with two outlets! in that case no power loss......if you were doing duals though 2.5" is too much!

You gotta agree that with the single catback im usin' 2.5" piping won't lose any low end ?

Nope, TRUE duals ? Your silly. That would cost an @ss-load and would be POINTLESS.

no the "fake" duals like the Accord where its splits midway down the catback piping...and yeah "true" duals would cost some bucks to bring pipes all the way back from the manifolds!
