Got a new Max! 5.5 gen 6 speed!!

So excited about this find! Will post more of it once it's cleaned up. Went all the way to New Jersey to pick it up today. It's a loaded 6 speed SE with 114k miles on it, you can't beat it!

I am genuinely upset at the thought of selling my old 4th gen with 180k miles on it. Please lie to me and tell me that cars don't have feelings to make the pain easier! Love my new 5.5 but still! Good times in the old Max.

At this point the plan is to get it cleaned up. There are a few rusted rock chips on the hood two big dents, one on the roof and one on the quarter panel. Gotta buff out the paint and headlights. Gotta tint the front windows (back has 20%). As far as mods go probably just a GAB and a catback down the road!

Edit: Forgot the fogs are busted gotta replace and the front bumper corners are getting cleared!

Thanks! I don't think I will ever own another 4th gen. I love the car, but the 5.5 has a heck of a lot to offer. We'll see how it holds up.

What did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

It is going to feel like a boat turning compared to a 4th gen. But the 6 spd and 3.5 make up for it.

Oh and check our oil religiously.

Congrats on the purchase! I just got a 5.5 gen 6speed about 2 months ago. So I know how ya feel. I've got 114k on mine too. Early on the main thing I noticed is She'll burn up oil like you wouldn't believe. I check mine once a week now.

Congrats. Nice car. I hope it serves you well. I got 5.5 6 speed as well and mine just sits. It has not moved anywhere in months

I paid $3,400. There was an issue with the odometer reading and it was in an accident, he had detailed records on all of it though so I didn't see any problem, especially for that price. Getting some regular maintenance done right now, and I will be checking the oil a lot for sure! Haha

Nice car

Nice ride man! Welcome to the 5.5 family. Trust me you would like it just as much if not better in the long run.
