Cracked bumper cover - repair or replace?

Hello all, recently I was cleaning my car and noticed that my front bumper cover is cracked near the driver's side fog light (no idea how it happened) at first it was about 3 inches long but now its starting to spread. I have read online that its usually better to just replace it rather than try to repair it, but I wanted some more opinions... and if anyone knows general costs of each. Any help is appreciated. (2013 Maxima) Here is a pic... thanks

If your handi with fibre glass or fibre glass resin i'd definately repair it! It would probably be even cheaper to have a body shop fix it vs. replacing it. By the looks of that small crack definately fixable.

Possibly, but I'm worried about the paint being feathered in and/or the crack reappearing from stress, which is why I was leaning towards replacement.

Call your body shop. Compare price to paint and install new bumper vs remove repair and reinstall. Repairs if done right will last forever (or at least as long as you own the car)

And most reputable shops will give you a life time guarantee on the repair.

Wait until someone backs into you or pulls out in front of you causing a collision, then let their insurance pay for a new bumper.

the bumper cover is around 400ish...i would say they will replace the bumper cover rather than fix it. the crack is at a compound curve area where it's difficult to get behind. no shop that values their time will spend the time to repair that long crack.

i would guess it'll probably run anywhere from 700-800ish for the entire job to replace.
