For the first time since 1986 when I bought my first Maxima ('87 SE 5M), there is no Maxima in the garage. I've had seven of them... the last of which was an '07 that I just traded in after nearly 9 years of excellent service. It was clean as a whistle and only 69k trouble-free miles, so there were definitely mixed feelings letting it go.

No more Maxima, but that doesn't mean we've abandoned Nissan. The current stable consists of an '11 M37 (what I traded the Max in for), an '08 G35, and an '07 Altima 3.5 SE.

Hardly. A 44k mile used '11 M37 for $22,300 is hardly an extravagant replacement for a nine year-old Maxima. Also, realize that the history of vehicles covers a span of over 40 years for four different people in the household.

wow, that's quite a sable of Nissan products. I only have one nissan which is my 01 since I got her new, still love her and not parting it anytime til either engine goes or gas is no longer produced. Other than that, I am eyeing on a 8th gen maxima, so just waiting to see if it's worth it, before I decide to trade in my 08 Honda Accord.
