Air Bags
Hello
As I understand it, certain cars were recalled because of the Takata air bags
My car is newer than the recalled cars
How do I determine which company manufactured the air bags in my car? If I ask Nissan, will they tell me
If Takata air bags are being recalled in some model years, couldn't there also be a problem in other model years? Thank you

You have 2 more direct choices besides Google:
http://www.nissanusa.com/recalls-vin#/
https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/
Enter the VIN of your car.
Both sites go back 15 years for ANY recalls on the car.
The Nissan site will tell you only about a recall that has not been done on the car. I don't know if it is the same way on the federal site. It seems to be down more than it is up.

They are already been out on that issue. I got a recall noticed from Nissan a year ago, I yet have to take it to them but right now I have been super busy, but where I am at is in the SW desert of NM so it's wouldn't be a high priority since those who live in a state where Humidity is affected will be considered a very high priority.

The options you've already been given are good go to's but it's very simple to call your local dealer and give them the vin# (or name if you've had vehicle there in the past) and ask if your Max falls under this recall. You'll have to call them anyways to setup an appointment to have the recall done anyways.
