So I decided to clean my MAF...

After dismantling the airbox and removing the round metal screen in front of the MAF sensor I wiped down the filament with a Q-tip sprayed with Carb-Cleaner (read it on a forum somewhere). I reassembled it w/o the metal screen and let the Carb-Cleaner dry. My erratic idle is gone and the car doesn't hesitate under sudden, full-throttle. However, I get this burning smell periodically after shutting off the car. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
