Very similar to the splined hub wire wheels that you find on 50's-70's British sports cars.
My experience with wire wheels is that they are a lot of maintainence. You have to grease the hub splines frequently to keep the wheel from seizing. The splines are also very succeptable to wear and when they do wear out, you have to replace the hub AND the wheel.
