Ok, i bought this car about a month ago and love it but every since i bought it i noticed a noise in the cabin only. I could not hear it outside or under hood at all. It sounded like a muffled diesel and made the car feel/ sound as a POS in my opinion. I researched the web and found Pathfinder's, Murano's and older Maxima's had this issue from time to time and even a short clip of the sound. BINGO! That was the sound 192.168.0.1 router login . I changed the rear Damper closest to firewall and she is purring! Not a peep and in fact idles a bit better as well. I was told i had to remove the plenum and rail and such but being a mechanic myself on older Nissan's i knew i could find a shortcut. By taking off the engine cover, air box, a few side hoses and coolant hoses going to throttle body and a bracket i was able to squeeze my hand in and remove the back bolt which is the hardest(ratchet wrench helps a lot). Took about an hour and i love her even more. I didn't release any fuel pressure it shot a little out but it's fine. I don't post much these days but i had to make some poor soul out there aware and save them money/ headaches if possible. Good day! Part used was standard product damper from Amazon.
