Sega GT For XBox - Skyline!
#7
nice pics. the skyline looks goofy though, it is WAY too high off the ground and it looks too squished in, you dont get the "oh ish that car is PHAT" feeling by looking at it. The GT3 skyline looks sweeter. And the rims, I guess you have to watch a video of those to really understand them...

And Maximum Chase will beat out GT3 in graphics easily, from what I've seen.
And these graphics are only screenshots of a game that is not finished...just wait.

The X-Box is a far more capable platform than the PS2.
I just hope the developers are on their marks.
We'll just have to see.

Like I said before, we'll have to see.
The X-Box is technically the superior platform, with more Processing and Graphics power, but it's all in the developers, and X-Box is easier to write for....alot of companies will be writing for it over the next year.
Oh yeah, and GTA3 is coming out for the X-Box as well!
OK...lock the thread.

As far as i can see, dreamcast, (WEAK compared to XBOX) PS2, Gamecube, XBOX, the same game on all 4 systems visually look the same.. not much of a difference.. put it on a nice TV with gazzillion pixels by gazzillion pixels and you might see a difference.. so whatevers to me

I will agree
That the physics engine was poor on the SegaGT version. IF they have not tweaked it much, it WILL be a flop. But if they have done a better job, then it will be a buy. I always rent my games before purchase anyway to evaluate them with friends. Over all I was least impressed by how the Fairlady/300Z faired. I guess I am biased but I should think the top Nissan Sportscar short of Skyline (how many different versions can you put in that drive the same?) should have driven a bit better.
XBox is easier to develop on because basically its a small computer. 8gig HD, NVidia graphics, Broadband Ethernet connection...etc...I am looking at the PC ported games to see how much is lost in translation. From what I can tell Max Payne lost nothing graphic and story wise, but the controller has GOT TO GO! To cumbersome to use.

And this is a whole new game, not a remake of the original Sega GT, so I expect it to be quite a bit better.

arghhh...
you guys and your graphics, yea yea, the xbox is a newer system with a nice graphics processor, but who cares about graphics if the gameplay sucks? GT3 may not look all that great when compared to some of these upcoming games, but look at all that you get, 100+ cars, plenty of tracks, upgrading cars for better performance, etc. just because the game is coming on the xbox, doesn't mean that its the best thing out. xbox still has to prove its a competitor with some better games, the only games i like for the system is halo and project gotham racing.

Re: arghhh...
When is Sega GT 2002 supposed to come out?
I'm definitely in the market for a racer. Rented Project Gotham Racing and thought it was a load of fun but the kudos-based gameplay is not really for me. Has some other pretty fun modes beside it and you can always enter the cheat to get the good cards, but I am hoping something better will come along.
Also, don't know why: My max is a stick but for the life of me, can't seem to play with a manual in video games? Anybody else the same way?
