ECU is cleaner. No noise, no banging.. Y-Pipe, be ready for inspection issues and warranty issues. But Y-Pipe is best bang for the buck.

what year is your car?
Honestly....I dunno which to get
don't quote me on this one...but I am getting the ECU now...because the GD is there.....
but Ypipe is proven...
so ...pick a choice
I was choosing between ypipe and ecu...but since the ECU is in a GD and it might gain more power...I choose to go with ECU....but I might regret it, or I might be one lucky SOB...
ahahahahha....umm....180 on the wheel...that taste goodd....
anyhow...I do not plan to get my hopes to high...if I see
170 something peak FWHP...I'll call it great
=]
cause that is what I might get too with a ypipe..just about...
ypipe + intake...
I have intake..
=]
my stock peak was 155 FWHP or something like that...
anyhow ^_^
(yeah I might be too ambitious on 170 with just intake and ypipe..but hey..hehehe...a man can dream...)

The Y pipe does not bang, and except in Cali, you should do fine with inspection. My Y pipe has the flex part built in and does not even knock or shake.
Y pipe is a proven solid 15HP gain. Best mod for the money. Once I find a great ECU, I'll be first in line.

group deal for the uprd ecu is going on now...
its really a damn good program for the car. you should feel the pull it gets when the car is in midrange... don't believe me? fly here to ucla and i'll take you out in my car.
i think the ecu was way better than the ypipe.. esp with the power and acceleration that i get now..
well.. its ur money..
