the difference in GXE and SE tire size and odo readings

Guys I noticed that my GXE is equipped with 205x65R15 and the stock SE is eqipped with 215x55R16. After going to the "tire size calculator" website, I found that there is a difference in odo readings. Wazzup wid dat?

It's a 1% difference ... I think you can live with that.

Yea, there is a difference, either the site is wrong... (who made it anyways?) or there really is a difference but it's no big deal. 97-99 SE rims 16 X 6.5" with 215/55/16 are different in overall diameter from the regular GXE steel wheels with hub caps which are 15 X 6.5 I think, with 205/65/15 tires. at least it is according to that tire size calculator.

I put 16 X 6.5" w/ 215/55/16 on my GXE anyways, it is supposedly different but come on, it might be like 1 mph difference at 60 mph. so it doesn't bother me.

Are the GXE rims 15x6.5 or 15x6?

I think GXE rims are 15x6. You guys are right, the difference is 1mph which is nothing, but also means that your mileage reading is incorrect. Since there is a discrepancy, I was just wondering if Nissan installed smthg on SE to compensate for the difference...

it's gotta be 15x6.5....
i'm rolling on my friend's 99SE 16inch rims..which are 16x6.5 wide..and the caliper is almost touching the spokes on the rim..

The 5th gen has different ECUs for different stock tire sizes, that's how it compensates.

Nope...my owner's manual states that they are 15x6 with a 40mm offset.
