Keyless remote problem

Last night I replaced put clear corners on front and back of my car. Today my keyless remote doesn't work. I replaced the battery, and I also tried my spare. There is simply no response. I checked the fuse near the battery and that looks ok too. Could I have messed a wire up pulling the taillights?

Re: try this

You are able to use the coding in the owner's manual to recode the remote...if you don't have it, e-mail me and I will type it up for you.

I think the answer is simpler than this. I called the Nissan dealership and they said "Bring in the remote and we'll tell you if it is working." Well, I have 2 remotes, and I put a new battery in my main one, and neither worked. I kept asking "Is there a relay or anything on the car itself I can check?" and they kept saying "No", which is pretty dumb. Finally one guy said "Oh, you changed your taillights?" Maybe the alarm sensor in the back got a wire pulled" so I tore apart the carpeting to check that. Finally (duh) I did what I'd almost done at the start, and looked at the alarm fuse in the engine compartment. Blown. I'll put a new one in when the stores open this morning. Bet that fixes it. Why it blew, not sure, but I didn't disconnect my battery when putting in the clear corners.

Yeah!!!

Patience is a virtue! Last night I went through the electrical system, tracing pathway for the keyless entry. I didn't find any bad fuses or see any obvious problems, but just by pulling apart connections and checking to see that I had a hot current all the way through where it was supposed to go, I guess I reconnected something that wasn't making contact. It works again! Hallelujah! I hate it when something doesn't work for no obvious reason, and I really like having keyless remote.
