Need help - Dremel and Polishing

Hi. I just bought the Dremel to polish my Stillen FSTB and Valve cover and stuff. Which "heads" do I need to buy to get the job done.

Thanks,
Erik

I am what we call very lazy. If I have to use my hands it will never get done.

to be honest Erik, you will never get the FSTB polished using a dremel or sandpaper. Have your bar polished out for like $60-100 like i did. Well worth the $$ and saves you the hassel and frustration of it not coming out 100%. Mine has ZERO imperfections in it and looks like chrome, i even had the brackets powder coated silver.

As for the valve cover sand it down starting with 80grit, then 100 gritt then go, 200,400,600(wet),800(wet),1000(wet),1500(wet),2000 (wet), then polish the $hit out of it using Mothers MAG/Aluminum Polish(small red can $6)any local auto shop sells it

have fun!

Erik, I did mine with sandpaper and my two hands. It isn't perfect or the best looking but there is a shine to it. I probably could have done a better job, but with those two screw hole pyramid things on the 5th gen valve covers (for the AE engine cover) it was hard to get in tight places. Just use a low grit sandpaper (coarse) and increase the grit (finer) as you go along and you'll get a nice shine. Then polish it with Mother's Mag/Aluminum Polish. You'll see it at the meet on the 10th.

What helped me was the wire brush attachments for the dremel...especially on the bolt heads and curved spots.
