Did anyone put it on a scale or any one have it around to put it on a scale?

 

 

I didn't weigh mine, but I would say not including the final drive gear the thing is 10 pounds. It is pretty heavy for a thing that small.

 

I haven't seen the Quaife for the Max but I did help install one in a GTI VR6 and it didn't appear to be any heavier than the open diff that was in it, although we did not weigh it I did lift both a few times and didn't notice any difference. I have the LSD in my Max and it is OK "no 1 wheeler peeler stuff" but the quaife is a much better option and of course much more expensive too. They are guaranteed for life even if racing. Pretty hard to beat that.
