Just FYI

For those who are thinking about duals.

Dual exhausts would add little if any power to your car, you might even end up losing low end by not having enough back pressure.

You would gain some HP if your car was pushing around 400HP or turboed/SC.

Looks good tho.

Re: Just FYI

spare tire.. havent had one of those in there for quite some time now.. hope you guys dont jinx me now.

and hogan, there are 2 maxima owners in jacksonville that i somewhat know and neither of them care that much about their cars.. one of them is in my club and i guess i could count on him, but his max is RICED out, i dont like being seen with it.

my duals are for looks more than performance, but it seems to me that i gained some low end torque back.. when i test drove it my roomate was with me and he said it felt like it had more torque at low end.. oh well, it sounds damn cool.

Has anyone tried using two 2k Maxima stock mufflers instead of the aftermarket ones? That'll probably quiet things down some with y-pipe, rt cat, and 2.5" piping before the muffler. Plus you'll have 4 tips to give you a somewhat M3 look

Thats exactly what i was thinking of having done, especially b/c of the good low end torque, can someone photoshop a 4th gen w/dual 5th gen mufflers? I'd really appreciate it.

looks real nice. I bet it is loud with no resonator. Can you get some sound clips?

Anyone know what that thing is?

I think it'd be nice to fit dual 2K mufflers too, but there's not much room on the driver's side unless you push the mufflers outwards and remove that box, or chop the spare tire well.

I will have the DTM M3 look, I have another muffler sitting in my buddies garage, guess what I am doing? but I don't think i will cut into the bumper, I am thinking of filling the exhaust hole on the passenger side though when I get some body work done

Re: Re: last ones...

I still have more of these mufflers in stock. The cannister is smaller than many aftermarket mufflers, so if you want a dual exhaust, these will clear more easily than some other mufflers.

some of us are taking action with the duals i for one am just waiting to get my parts in... y-pipe and flowmaster 40 series but i am not doing a true dual but a camaro style dual... i am not in the mood to move my spare tire for no performance gain over a camaro style dual... and it looks the same from the back anyway unless you get under it.
