How Fast Is This

6300 RPM in 5th gear in a 4th gen?

You will need another speedo or other means of measuring.... at least on a 96.

Do the math. See what mph you get at 3000rpm in 5th. Then multiply that by 2.1

Easy...

stock 98 5spd
4th gear @ 6000+rpm=120mph
5th gear @ 5700+rpm=135-140mph
You should be over 140mph that is all i know ask sprint he has 6000+rpm at well over 140mph in a sig of his

The math works out to 150MPH.

Also depends on your wheel/tire combo... the indicated speed could be different from your actual speed. If its only 2% off, at those speeds thats a + or - 3mph difference.

It's 159 or 160 on stock tires. On 225/45R17's, it's about 169!

I'm certain your math is in error. 225/45-17s would be slower than the stock tires. What are you using for the stock tires for a 4th gen?

From a stop, larger wheels and tires only slow acceleration. At top speed, they would slightly increase your gearing, resulting in a higher top speed.

The size of the wheels has nothing to do with speedo error. It's the overall diameter of the wheel & tire that makes the difference.
