dealer diagnostics

My car (96 se, 5-sp, 145k) seems to be running a little slower than it used to. I just changed the ngks and the air filter. Since the tune up, when I push in the clutch the rpms drop to around 300 or so and then go back up to my idle (about 550 on my car). Sometimes it will drop so fast that the car will almost stall. Before I changed the plugs my idle was still around 550 but when I pushed in the clutch rpms did not drop as fast and never went below about 450 or 500. I am wondering if one of my sensors is bad (MIL is not on) or maybe I need an injector or intake cleaning. Also, I've yet to change the fuel filter. If I take it to the dealer to get a diagnostic done could they tell me if I need any of these things. Thanks.

I am around Raleigh, NC and I just got a flyer that says I can get a free inspection this month at my local dealer. Would you guys recommend letting them do that? I doubt they would really do a good inspection for free.

Change the fuel filter and clean out your throttle body and IAC system. Also, make sure your throttle cable is tentioned correctly.
