One more thing about Rain-X......
BEFORE you put it on your windshield and read window, be sure to get them as clean as possible. There have been posts on other boards taht say that if there is some grime still on the windows when you apply it, it will be 10 time harder to remove the next time. I always polish my glass before I put it on. Rain-X even makes a glass polish for just this purpose....it also removes Rain-X, being that glass cleaner will not.

don't use rain x.. it messes up your window in the long run, then its starts to have spots and gets cloudy.. trust me.. don't use that stuff

I wished I polished my glass before I applied Rain X. Now everytime it rains and when I use my windshield wipers, it smears the window, making it harder to see. I would like to make my windows as clean as possible so it won't smear. What is the product called to clean off the old Rain X?

I have a 2K maxima. I've put RainX on twice, don't see any problems. Also, applied once to lights, no visable problem, but won't do it again-too mutch time. I would use rubbing alcohol to clean the window...

Here is what did...
Here is a link on glass care : http://www.autopia-carcare.com/autop...***.html<br />
The best way, IMHO, is to use a glass polish if you want to remove the rain-x and embedded grime. Glass polish is VERY hard to find. I tried every autoparts store in DC till I tried the LAST pepboys and they had 2 bottles left. Rain-X makes a glass polish so you can remove the rain-x glass treatments.....they gotcha comming and going.
If you have never polished your glass, you may need to polish it twice. The first time will remove the rain-x, while the second time will remove the dirt and grime UNDER the rain-x. I would do it three times to make sure EVERYTHING is removed....but I am **** like that. The rear window I would only do once or twice, sides only once.
As always Mr. Phelps, if you or any of you rain-x force fail to read the directions, and get any ony you plastic trim, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of this incident.
Good luck whitemax99gle
