Motor Oils, discussions again guys, Mobil 1 has gone down hill...
Hey guys, I just looked at this and was unaware that Mobil 1 got this bad?! This makes me want to switch to Valvoline Sythetic. I wanted your opinions on this because I rather have the best oil, but it needs to be API certified so my warranty won't have issues. Thanks.

Also look at these other forum links, Go here to see what they are saying and all the info they are finding out. It is very interesting material. Now I am wondering what motor oil can we switch too that can be bought in a store. Amsoil and Redline just are not that easy to get and not cheap either.

interesting. however if you have a well designed motor and lube circulation (and cooling, if applicable) system like the VQ, you can use conventional motor oils and still have a really long usable life. probably if everything is maintained properly, you'll still have distinct crosshatches on the cylinder walls at 200,000+ miles and minimal bearing wear on the VQ.
