WRX goes down...Not by much!

I ran a WRX 5 speed tonight from a 5 mph roll. We were even till about 4500 rpms in first when he pulled half a car on me. Then I shifted into 2 and pulled back the half car and proceed to get 1/4 car on him when he shut down. I would have beaten him bad if my car was running right!!

His variable intake system is no switching over at high rpms to the short runners...therefore he loses all the top end power that a VQ30DE-K makes.

And soon the top end that a VQ30DE with ME Intake makes.

(Sorry, had to plug a little)
Intake manifolds going fast, buy now!
And if you order today, you also get a cute little lifesize Del-Sol doll!

When your back up to full shape think of how well you can hang with him.

I think there is an auto option for the WRX. I just checked www.autotrader.com and there was an option for an auto tranny for the WRX.

The WRX I raced was a manual. I could see his car dip in between shifts.

Good job Jason. Thread title could be "Max in limp mode beats Impreza"

A good chunk of Chicagoland WRX's will be off the roads this weekend.
15 of em are in basic training for Auto-x. Applause to Gary DiCicou for taking em on single handed!
