Once you get the shock/strut combo off the car, compress the spring w/ compressors until it is loose between the top & bottom perches. Then undo the center nut, take the strut mount off and then you can pull the spring off (still compressed of course) and separate it from the rest of the unit. Then carefully uncompress the spring.

On a side note, when I lowered the front after the spring, strut switch, the car was too low to get the floor jack from underneath. he he he

Ok I got the front done, and I still have 10 fingers, one with out skin though. To do the back, how did you guys raise the car with out damaging the lift points with your jackstands? I started to lift the car from the axle and put the jack stands on the lift points, assuming they were the strongest. as I started to lower them I noticed them bowing, I quickly raised the car again before any thing serious happend. I'm considering taking it to a suspension shop to have the rear done.

Yeah, now that the car is lowered getting that jack under there is a PITA for sure. Good luck.

If you are placing the jack stands between the notches where the manual tells you to place them and the thing is bowing, I don't know what to tell you. It shouldn't be doing that. Try raising one side of the axle only and placing that jack stand....then raise the other side of the axle and place the other jack stand.
