Are the 2000 floor mats the same size for the 2002

In case anyone else hasn't noticed, I think the 2K2 floormats (the carpeted ones) are pretty darned cheap. I've only had my car for about two months and you can see where the drivers side mat is starting to mat (pardon the pun) down where my foot rests. My friend with a 2000 AE Maxima has his original mats that look to be of better quality and still look like new. So my question is, if I order the 2000 mats from Courtesy Nissan, will they fit without a problem in my 2002?

You better check on that! I own a 2K2 Max with Frost interior and changed my mats to Black, because I couldn't keep my Frost ones clean. Courtesy Nissan told me the 2K1 were the same mat, but the 2000 was a different part #. Not sure what the differences may be. May want to call Courtesy and find out more. I do know the 2k1 are exactly the same as the 2K2.

Its not that you are a newbie, its just that it is a warped question for which you can find your own answer better than any of us.

You claim to have a friend with a 2k, and want to know if a 2k mat fits in your car. TAKE THE FRIGGIN MAT OUT OF HIS CAR AND TRY IT IN YOURS. ITS A 30 SECOND FIT TEST. Have at it, Einstein.

I was very curious about this also and I'm sure others were too--not everybody has friends with 5th Gen maximas, so having the question answered here adds useful information to the .org
I've asked questions I could have figured out for myself--asking them here lets others who might have the same question learn something, which is what this site's about

A wapred question.......... Perhaps I failed to mention that my friend with the 2000 lives in Arkansas and that I live in Alabama. I deeply regret that I'm not willing to drive four hours one way to do this experiment. Thank goodness we have people like you to lambast me for asking such 'warped' questions. As for being a newbie.....I've been on this board for a couple of years now, so I'll just let that one go.

Yes, they do come with the car! Mine were in the trunk, if they aren't there I would contact your dealer as soon as you can. It won't take long to chew up your carpet with no floor mats down.
