pt charts for A/c charging

does anyone one have the pressure/temp charts for charging the air conditioning on my 97 nissan maxima. I am trying to determine what to set the high side pressure at.

theres not really a number you can set the high side to, hookup the manifold gauges and see if they are within spec of manufacter. If its not then you gotta figre out what the prob is. if recharging your system, evacute and vaccum the AC system and recharge to whatever is recommended. prolly best for you to get a service manual. technically you should be ASE certified in recycle/recovery, im assuming your not since you asked these questions. Maybe you might want to take it to a shop and have them do it. good luck tho

Re: Re: pt charts for A/c charging

I just want to top it off, I fell for the interdynamics low side guage fill and hope for the best thing. Long story short it helped but as I continued to add the can It overcharged it and ran up against the high pressure cut off switch, so the compressor would not pump. so I just releived some of the pressure until the compressor would run.

Now that I have guages I want to check it and make sure I have a good charge in there, not over/under.

So I am looking for the manufacturer spec you mentioned to make sure I am in the ballpark. Then I will charge for best vent temps within spec.

Shops tend to screw up stuff more than they fix it, its kind of a crapshoot that or the tell you they need something you don't need like when they told me I needed o2 sensors for my 69 mustang, yeah right.
