KBB sure gets on my nerves!

Last time I checked my 98 every-option 5-spd SE was 11.5k wholesale. 2 months later it's 10.6k!!!!

As Tony would say, are you *(%(*%$*)* kiddin me?

See fellas, that's why you should just drive your Maxes and be happy. Common sense says that 2 months doesn't depreciate the car by $900. At this rate you could choose between a 20 minute call by 10-10-220 or my car in 2 years, they'd be worth the same!

I like my car more than 10.6. I just refinanced and saved $300/month which makes me smile. Friends tell me keep going with this car don't buy a new one and get a payment.

kbb is just there to make people feel good or bad (depending if you're buying or selling!)

the real world car buying market does not revolved around kbb and actually very few still use it. if you total your car, ins companies don't even look at kbb. edmunds.com is a much better guage and the real pros use cc.

it's a service... it's actually like ccs or something, can't think of the full name right now. anyway, basically it's used by insurance companies to find out the value of a totalled or stolen vehicle. they do research in a specific area to find out what the vehicles are going for in that area. this includes newspaper listings, dealer listings, etc... and they come back with a report and that is how the figures are gotten.
