I've connected all the wires according to ericdwong's writeup....and the map light works, but the sunroof retract/close & up/down switches are dead. I did this job with the sunroof open (dumb) so now the damn thing won't close. Can anyone who's done this job suggest what could be wrong? I've read over the instructions time and time again, but everything looks okay. ****......

Lets see...did you connect the "constant hot" BEFORE the maplight? Cause if you connect it after, there will be no power. Do you have a multimeter?

I'm not sure what the "constant hot" is...I connected (spliced) the red from the WC1000 to the red wire going into the map light. Is that the one you are referring to? As i disconnect and reconnect the circuit board from the wires via the white plastic clip, I can hear the sunroof motor engaging, so I know I must be close.

No, I don't have a multimeter.

No go.

When I wire everything up and turn the battery on the two sunroof switches are dead. Then I disconnect the WC1000 green wire from the switch green, the window retracts. When I reconnect the green wire, the retraction stops. When I disconnect the WC1000 blue wire, the sunroof closes. When I reconnect the wire, the closure stops. It seems like I have power, but I don't know what wire could be connected wrong. Could my factory alarm play a part in this? I'll call AutoLoc tomorrow and see if they can help me.

good idea with calling autoloc, as far as the factory alarm i dont know..

i am having trouble getting mine done with my viper 800 esp.. i have come to the conclusion that i dont need tilt so i will just use one switch and erase the tilt function from my sunroof which doesnt bother me at all.. but it is not looking good as of yet.. have to wait and see i guess.

Where are you putting the plastic box? I don't know if there is enough room inside ceiling panel next to the sunroof motor for this thing. I was going to take the circuit board out of the plastic box and wrap it with static free bubble wrap or something so that it will take up less space.

the wire harnesses for mine are all off the alarm which is under the dash.. so thats where the box goes, and the wires get run up through the headboard with a wire snake to the sunroof controls.
