AutoMeter Fuel Pressure Guage Recall

Check it out...

http://www.autometer.com/hp/safety_r...ll_notice.html

I (and I think several others here) have the 5709 Phantom FP guage. I've sent an email asking about what the recall procedure is...replace, fix, etc. No response yet.

If it's the short sweep electrical guage, I think thats one of the recalled ones.

Do they have serial/model ID's on the back or anything? Maybe that would tell you.

I just got off the phone with AutoMeter (the number is at the bottom of the link above). They said the problem is possible leakage from the sender unit. They got my info. and gave me a # (i suspect it will correspond to ea person individually) and said to ship it back to them and they would send out a new one. Problem is that they can't say at all what the turn around time is. Will probably ship out ASAP to see if they can return it, can't really run N2O w/o.

Just keeping you guys up to speed. Thanks for initial post.

I just spoke to Autometer and they said if you send them your short sweep (with out the sender) they will send you a full sweep in return with a new sender. Not bad...

Sweet. I still need to send my extra one in... Do you have to request the full sweep, or do they just send you one?
