Flex section problem- can u tell without y pipe removal

I checked mine out today and it still looks good (see photo at link below). I have about 10K miles of somewhat aggressive miles on it. You can see that the welded rings holding the flex section at front and rear still seem to be holding. If I understand Cattman correctly, the flex section implodes when the weld on these rings fail.

it was somewere between 8 and 10k miles ago...don't know for sure...didnt write down mileage when i put it on.
my guess would be that my pipe will fail eventually just like many others have. At least I know how it drives now and can use this as a benchmark for any performance problems down the road.

Thats a good picture you posted that was very helpful becuase I am removing it this Sat morning and it better look like that pic you just posted or I might post a nasty one informing everyone what type of expensive piece sh.., I just bought and not to buy this pipe save money and get a cheaper one.
