Stupid *^#%$ Alternator
Stupid *^#%$ Alternator
Well its offical my alternator is shot on a 2000
left work today noticed my tire was a little low get home F-ing screw grrr use a patch kit fill up the tire im thinkin good as new WRONG i start the car up i here this horrible screach car stalls i start it again starts up and on pops that check battery light get out sure enough the alternator berring is frozen made the belt snap mother#$@%# had to order the part from the dealer which is not in stock
will have it on friday all in total $384.68. $262.xx for the alternator and rest on tax and a belt damn belt is like 100 bucks

You could have just rebuilt it yourself, it's so simple to do. 3 or 4 long threaded rod bolts hold the thing together. Take out the bearings, read the number from the side. Either order them from Nissna or any local bearing supply house. There like 12 - 15 bucks a piece. You should do both front and rear bearings while you've got it apart. Get a new belt from your local Automotive chain and the job could have been under 100 bucks.

sure you tell me this now about rebuilding it lol j/k i checked around for rebuilt ones noones got them, i feel safer havin a new one in there anyway no problems with it, hope its not too hard to change im gonna try and do my self
Ok started looking at it on how to take it out and stuff turns out its not the damn alt. its the friggin cluth and pully assembly for my ac compressor i mean W.T.H this car is 2 years old how could it seeze up already thats crap so now the part jumps from 262 to between 375-500 bucks and i gotta have the damn dealer install it nissan is really starting to **** me off i mean comeon what do they use $2 parts from a kia this is crap!!!!!
