Legit? Roof racks are "legit" if you have one because you absolutely need it and are willing to concede that it's ugly.

They do nothing for the look of a Maxima other than cheapen it, though.

And the wing is disgusting.

It's a bike rack, so what. With different wheels and the stock wing it'd look nice. It's not really that bad, he hasn't gone crazy with stickers, and it's a Maxima!

i dont think anybody would get a roof-rack for show. other than the wing, i think the car is fine, as long as the roof-rack has a purpose.

Someone already said they think the rack makes it look sporty

If that Max didn't have that huge wing everyone would be saying how "hot" it looks. And who cares about the damn rack. Maybe he goes skiing or biking or whatever, what's it to you?

I remember Skimax posted pics of his car prepped for the ski season; raised back to stock height, stock SE rims, and a ski rack. No one dissed his car about poor taste

Not me, anyway. I'm not a fan of anything on that car - the wing, the body kit, or the rack. And the kit + wing make it look awfully stubby. But, like I said, the rack doesn't matter - as long as it has a purpose. Geez, you people need to stop defending bike racks - no one here is saying anything bad about them when they're used like they're supposed to be.

Yeah, I know... I drive through Danbury a lot and I've seen them. It's no worse than the guy who lives two streets away from me and has a civic with a fake dual exhaust setup, a body kit, aluminum wing, faded tint, and a really bad aftermarket sunroof. It's sad.

You guys are lame. Who cares about the fin in the back? Do any of your mods have any 'real' purpose? I had a rack on my bug a long time ago. Is that rice? So I guess any mod is rice then.

If you're asking if anyone's cosmetic mods have a 'real' purpose then the answer is no.

But any mod that actually improves handling or power has a very real purpose.

You means like getting a 15.91 on the quarter instead of a 15.93? Oh I see. Thanks for showing me the light. I guess I am not a rice guy. My mods mean a lot to my car.
