Are you KIDDING? The 1st-4th gen Maxes are the most attractive cars on the road! I drool over all of them. Screw BMWs and Audis! Maximas have handsome faces and hot bodies. In fact, I'm sleeping with one tonight woo woo.

To be fair and honest, I don't think any gen. Maximas look very good. However, looks aren't that important. If it was, I think most of us wouldn't choose a Maxima in the first place right?

I can't believe you guys.... To each his own I guess.

None of the other gens compares to the 4th gen, of course. 5th gens have buttugly grills/headlights and taillights. the *** in general, with the license plate in the middle of the trunk, is awful. i'm serious, the 4th gen is the most beautiful car on the road IMHO, but deceptively so. it looks like a Camry but then you get closer and you're stunned.

We all argue to each other just like family. This is Just why I love owning a Maxima to be in a family like this.

You can't polish a turd Craigy, you can only hope to achieve the 3-gen nirvana.

3-gens on 4-gens.

On a daily basis, Craig Mack constructs a post right after a hit from the crack pipe. Hopefully in the future, he'll learn to hold off until making a post as his comparisons show modded 4th gens versus stock 3rd gens, with the 3rd gens still looking as good as the 4th gen with LOADS of makeup.

Either you like your cars/women natural or with lots of cosmetic surgery.

Personally, I like mine natural.

The 96 is a white egg, but it runs as new. All fwy miles used to commute to SF. 1st owner but it's 3k over the '92.

I need to decide today! I'm tired of being carless!!!!
Well, are you happy with tell others that you have a crappy gold/tan color car? If not, then try another option.

Why would this guy spend $2300 on a transmission and axles if he was going to sell it. He obvoiusly did a poor job, just to get it running so that he could sell it, don't buy it. I'd hold out for a 5 speed and get whatever gen. you like.

Having had a 3rd, and still having 4th and 5th gen maximas I must say I think the 3rd is my all time favorite. The 92 after 4000 rpm would pull you back harder than the 95, 2k2 is different story but the 3rd gen is what made me love these sedans. Of course all of them have been SE's with manuals. If i could find a 92-94 SE in prestine condition I'd take it. The boxy look of ther 3rd gens is awesome and I love it.

man this argument is still going on!?!? good comparison pic though and seriously the 3rd gen looks so much more "sporty" and intimidating....you can't deny that!!!! but you also have to figure in color and all that too, that color on the 4g is horrid(no offense to anyone who has the color )

i wouldnt exactly call it "mean" id say something more along the lines of a "classic muscular stance sport sedan"

that 4th gen is gonna make me have nightmares tonight, the color is ugly...looks like the color of moldy mashed potatos or something Although 4th gens do look alot better in black SEs, not the greatest but better

Fair comparison??

A base GXE with hubcaps verses an SE with alloy wheels and fogs? Don't think so. Comparing that 3rd gen SE to a 97-99 SE would be more fair.

I agree...3rd gens look good stock but can end up looking ghetto when modded. 3rd gens look better than 95-96 IMO.

well yes and no, depends how "hooked up" it is. 3rd gens with minor to moderate enhancements can look REALLY good but it just gets ugly when you get to the body graphics, ridiculous sized wings, etc. I wouldnt even put a body kit on mine (if i ever did id go with stillen) i like the simple clean look (disregard the sig pic it sucks) But it also comes down to the specific car, generally id choose a 3rd gen over an equally equipped 4th gen. However if i have a choice between say a high mileage beige stock 3rd gen GXE vs a loaded great condition black 99 SE Limited 5 speed, then see ya im takin the SE-L

the first pic looks horrible...that lower mesh grille just makes the car look like them old BMW's that are hooked up...like early 90s to high 80's...but the other ones look pretty tight...never knew the 3rd gen could look that good...although they are NOTHING and i mean NOTHING compared to 4th gen with a sarona kit on...

i hope this following pic changes your mind Masaccio.....
