Couple of Wheel Questions......

I have come to the conclusion that I no longer want my 18s. Even though this may sound stupid, you try driving across 3 states with bad roads (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama) on them and see how you like it. Also hitting bumps is a *****.... Most of my family is down south and I will have to travel home more often so I think 17s are a better choice for me.

I need a wheel that will look good and ride decent on the highways. That leads to my questions.

1. What is a fair price to sell my 18x7 Trophys for?

2. What is the best tire size for a balance of ride comfort and performance on a 17x8 rim.

3. What do you guys think of the Konig Five-O, any pics.

4. Anybody got any suggestions for 17x8 rims with a 5 spoke pattern.

Thanks for you help in this....
Don't flame me too bad...

C'mon man...I've driven from Boston to LA, twice, with my 18's and haven't had a problem. But if you don't like the ride, try increasing your profile....I've heard 245/40 works well.

I like my 17 x 8 Konig Monsoons. But they don't make these rims anymore. As far as tires go, I like Dunlops.

Boston to LA, twice Wow, That's my kind of vacation. ROAD TRIP! I wish I could get that kind of time off! I did NY to Iowa city in 17 hours. 1100 miles. That was fun What sucked is that the roads just started getting really good in Indiana, last leg of my trip.

Actually, it was Indiana to LA twice and Indiana to Boston twice. You're right about the roads too....from Indiana and on to out west, they just get better and better. Scenery too!

Back to the original thread...I like njmaxse's they look just right in 17's ont he max. Also, I think tires.com is having a promo for free shipping! Double check on that though...
