Need to know before I buy: Does autofuel cutoff pblm occur in 2001 Max?

I've read a lot of people on this site and on Edmunds complain about driving the 2000 Max steady at low speeds such as 30mph or in heavy traffic. Due to the fuel cutoff problem the car won't drive smoothly. Has anyone experienced this with the 2001 Max. Interested because thinking of getting a 2001 GLE Auto very soon. If it exists in most 2001 Maximas, think i'll go with the Camry V6 or Acura TL. By the way, is this pblm only on 5spd or on auto tranny also? Thanks.

Yes, ascan . . .
The fuel delivery system is the same on the 2K and the 2K+1, thus the fuel-cut problem exists in both model years. But the problem is not nearly as pronounced on the A/T as it is on the 5-speed. I should know. I've got both a 2K GXE A/T and a 2K SE 5-speed.
I'd recommend you drive an A/T and then make up your own mind.
