How heavy are those things anyway? Hollow or solid?

SFC's are hollow.

Hey Tony, have fun with the SFC's once you get them on. I talked to the boys at Warpspeed and they said these things are amazing.

What's wrong with red? I think the red SFCs work well with Tony's car since it is a show car also.

I'm thinking about putting my car up on two ramps on one side for HIN. To show off the SFC, but it might be more trouble than it's worth

hope you don't drive over anything bigger than a speed bump between install and show.. that purdy red powdercoat will come right off.

My SFCs are scratched to Hell and back, but I didn't get them powdercoated. they also rub against my cat anytime I hit a bump or on hard cornering. hafta bend them back down next time I get under the car.

But yes.. red powdercoat is purdy..
What are you going to do with it after they're welded on? krylon over the weld marks? (proabably your only option, but make sure you sandblast the rust off, or the paint will peel right off)

Looks very nice, but be very aware that if you have a low drop (2+") the Stage II will bottom out and you will loose that pretty paint. I watched BSwithTF (Travis) bottom out his GXE with Sprints and the Stage II while pulling into the dyno pit. There was barely an incline either. I've got a 2" drop and my Stage Is have about 4" of ground clearance at their lowest spot. BTW, I sprayed my SFCs with some undercoating to keep them from rusting.

Dave

Granted he'll bottom out and get them scratched, however it's not going to peel and chip like normal paint. I believe powder coating is a process in which you actually bake stuff onto the surface of metal so it bonds with it. Same process as powdercoating rims. Pretty hard to get off i think.

Those were my thoughts exactly. That's why powercoating is such a special and expensive process, right?
