Where to get Nitrous Jets? -HURRY

Ok, so I am looking for more ponies on my current nitrous setup. Now, what I am wanting to do is put in a 100-shot. I have the Walbro 255lph fuel pump, so that is ok. But I dont have a FPR. So, I was told by Sprite (Sprint) to get a .069 jet for the fuel bypass, but Summit Racing does not carry that size, as well as other needed sizes. Does any one have a idea of where to get them from that I can get within 3-4 days (before Friday)? Thanks

What shot and what bypass are you running now. I am running a 100 shot and a .038 bypass so it all depends on a whole lot of variables for the bypassjet. I am getting 85 psi with the .038.

But doesn't your FPR make you to be able to do that. Sprint said a while back that since I have a stock FPR that I need to run a .069 in the bypass t and a .047 nitrous jet. Is this correct Jime? Thanks for the help.

Not really, every car is different. I had to run a .072 to get 85 psi of fuel pressure... and I know of someone else who wasn't using any jet at all...

The FPR only adjusts the N/A fuel pressure. mtrai760 is right all cars are different. Thats why I asked you what shot and bypass jet you are using now, use that as a guidline on where to go. There is no right answer for all cars on the bypass jet. My biggest piece of advice is NOT to do it unless you have a pressure gauge to check that you do indeed have the proper pressure for the required shot.

I do have a fuel pressure gauge, the electric one from Autometer ($190.00). I am getting about 86-88 psi with the 70 shot jet with a .042 in the bypass t. any ideas lol?

If you are getting 86-88 I wouldn't change anything but the .047 Nitrous Jet. I am running 85 psi which is the requirement for a 100 shot. Just make sure to have a change of underwear in the car when you try the 100 shot.
The fuel pressure for a 70 shot is 72 psi.

Ok, so I have been running rich, oh well... BTW, so I have the correct fuel pressure for the 100? Good, thanks Jime, I owe you again. I'll let you know how I do on Friday at the track....

Now sure what you will be using for tires but traction will be your biggest concern. When you hit the juice all hell is going to break loose so hang on. I am using slicks at 12 psi and still burn all through 1st and part way through 2nd at thats an auto with VLSD. We expect a full report however on Sat.
I am switching over to an NX kit this week so will probably forget the little bit about NOS that I do know by next week.

Thanks Jime.......I am gonna run my regular 15 inch steelies in the front to decrease weight, what psi do you suggest for the front?

at 80 shot with .042 jet i was at 80 PSI
at 100 shot with .042 jet i was at 100 PSI (thats almost locking up injectors)

if you are at 85 PSI with .042 bypass jet.. i wouldn't even try to run 100 shot with that.. first off the car will be so rich it will slower than if you are N/A .. that and you could damage your engine like that, which i think might have happend to Brian and Myself. If you do decide to run 100 shot with .042 bypass jet.. watch that gauge like a hawk. I say you get a .073 or .071 and work your way back.

Turbo, changing the nitrous jet has absolutely no effect on the fuel pressure. The only thing that changes the fuel pressure is the bypass jet or the nitrous bottle pressure. If you got higher fuel pressure by changing from 80 to 100 you did something different, ie different day so different bottle press etc.

I am talking about the bypass jet.. do you think i would be running a 100 shot and not know that?

like i said.. .042 BYPASS JET with .042 NITROUS JET i was at 80 PSI
and .042 BYPASS JET with .047 NITROUS JET i was at almost 100 PSI

its better to be running lean closer to 60 - 70 PSI than to run rich up at 100 PSI.. i am telling you i think thats what happend to Myself, Brian and maybe Tilley..

Synki was running .071
I was running .069
Brian after finding out was running .080
sx7r was running with NO jet
Matt(WA) was running .072

these are all people who didn't have aftermarket FPR in which case you fall in this category.. Jime has a Aftermarket FPR.. i just don't want your car to be F'ed up.. you can evaluate and do what you want..

You are still saying that you changed the nitrous jet and it changed your fuel pressure, it does not.
.042 bypass .042 nitrous at 80 psi
.042 bypass .047 nitrous at 100 psi
don't work that way .042 bypass gives a constant fuel pressure when the juice is on regardless of the nitrous jet like I said last post.

On Thursday, I will do ONE run with the .042 to see what psi I get. If it is high, then I have a .070 to put in that should lean it out more.....

I ran a .045/.042 and I was at over 100psi of fuel pressure... needless to say I shut it down real quick... I tried different bypass jets (at $5 a pop!) and ended up using a .072 to get my fuel pressure under control. This is different with EVERY car! Jime, maybe you got lucky and didn't have to change yours, but it's going to vary from car to car, I promise you. I'm Matt(WA) BTW...

Jime has an Aftermarket FPR.. i think SARD which fixes the problem of us toying with the jets to get the optimum fuel pressure for 100 shot.. but he doesn't run with the stock fuel pressure regulator so i don't know how he knows so much about running 100 shot with the stock one Ramius.. its up to you son.. i did your lights i think you can trust me on this one

Ramius now you have run your 100 shot, stayed with your .042 bypass and the fuel pressure stayed the same, which is exactly what I was trying to tell you. Don't listen to anyone that comes on here and trys to tell you any different.
Good luck at the track.

PS Turbo97 my car wasn't born with a SARD, I have run with the stock FPR. I think you can trust me on this one. (Ya Right)

i am curious as to what Ramius car will do because all the cars i know that ran 100 shot on stock FPR, you, sx7r, me, synki, dmbmaxima, Briguymax, and sprint.. Jime's car is the only one that had constant fuel pressure .042 bypass jet

Read for yourself, it did exactly what I said it would do, stay the same if you only change the nitrous jet.

mtrai760, I didn't take exception to what you said, you may very well of had over 100 psi with that setup. Just because one person gets a certain fuel pressure with a given bypass jet doesn't mean the next one will. I am sorry if I said anything to upset you.

I took exception with what Turbo said about the nitrous jet changing the fuel pressure. Ramius was already getting 85-89 PSI with his .042 and changing the nitrous jet will not change that and thats what I was telling him when Turbo came in with both arms swinging.

BTW Jime, you are right about the fuel pressure not changing with the expansion of the nitrous jet. I still get the same psi as I did before with the 70 shot, 85-89 psi. Thanks for your help....
