Colored bulb sleeves?

Anyone ever used these? These are actual colored, plastic sleeves that slip over the more "common" bulbs, like the 1156,1157,194,etc. They come in blue, red, and yellow I believe. I just seen them in Autozone today, and I was wondering if anybody ever tried any of them? They're relatively cheap also, like $1.49/pr. Are these actually better than the colored bulbs?

I cleared my tails, and I used these light covers on regular bulbs. The light is a little off, but it's ok.

Autozone doesn't sell orange. I was thinking of gettting a pair and putting them over the tail turns.

I agree, LED's = the $hit.

Just dont use red LED's in rear clear turn signals with hyper blinkers (like steve's car), or you'll hypnotize people.

paint over the bulb with a thin layer of transparent silver glass paint from an art store

just paint the fat part though - leave the neck uncovered since you can't see that part through your clear lens and it helps keep the bulb shining bright
