Bulbs

Does anyone know if a 168 bulb is the same as a 194 bulb? I wasn't sure of this, but I've seen in many places that they cross reference each other. If they are, do you know why there are 2 different names for the same bulb?

I've had a chance to take a good look at both, and I wasn't able to pick out the difference. But, there might be a wattage difference because niether the packaging nor glass had the power rating.

So, I'm assuming that they are interchangable though? I mean, if it's only wattage, the only thing I have to worry about it premature burn-out? Right?

And the difference in wattage wouldn't really cause them to burn out faster, it would just affect the brightness.

A 168 bulb is about a 1/2 watt brighter than a 194. Both are the same type of bulbs....just a wattage difference.
