Local story
Westlake, OH
An officer was monitoring traffic on I-90 eastbound June 9 at about 1:30am when a 2002 Nissan Maxima roared by at 105mph. The 16-year exited at Columbia Road and pulled into a parking lot. He explained he was in a hurry "to get everybody home."
He had four other teens with him. The driver, of Westlake, bore the telltale aroma of booze but tested below the legal limit. He admitted to having a shot of vodka. He was charged with willful and wanton disregard for safety and his passengers with violating curfew.
The parents all came to the station to collect their young'uns. We are happy to say that the parents, instead of hollering at the cops for hauling their kids in, thanked them for perhaps preventing a terrible accident.

Could be daddy's car.
Westlake is a kind of uppity place, current/former home to many local current/former athletes (Omar Vizquel, Einar Diaz, Shawn Kemp, Robbie Alomar, Manny Ramirez, Brad Daugherty, etc), so who knows kids in the area get.
