1.8 60' and 13.14 @ 104 Next time 12's or bust

Those are some incredible runs and much of your ET is simply because of traction. Very wicked.

Actually my 60' time for the 13.14 run was 2.045, the et for the 1.8 60' was a slower 13.35 because I reduced the tire pressure to 11 psi which is where it grips best but reduces top end and makes for a slower et.
gtr_rider I made some bump stops to reduce the weight transfer, I still have stock suspension all around.
RastaManMax buying Don's car to run 12's would be like cheating to me. No matter what you ran you would still be known as the guy running Don's car. Gotta do it on your own. Its like I tell the guys about nitrous, if you can't install it yourself, probably not a good idea to have it.
BriGuyMax if NOS is wheel horsepower then NX is way off the scale because there is no comparison to 100 HP in NOS and 100 HP in NX and I just took the NOS out, that 1/2 second came from the difference between kits, I made no other changes.
Jim
PS I forgot my camera this aft so will post my timeslip tomorrow but I did get the videos up.
there will be at least 4 auto max's in the 12's this fall.
when are the 5 spds gonna hit 12's???
hmmmmm?????
Jime, you have given me a very very very well planned out idea. i'll post details later.
BTW, wet or dry kit?

NX does not make a dry kit. The wet kit is just as easy to install and easier to setup, tech support will tell you exactly which jets to run for your stock fuel pressure, it is not boosted in any way like the dry. I have tried 4 different HP combinations and all ran perfect with their recommended jet sizes.
if im going to stick a bottle on the family mobile. its getting a FPR and set just a tad richer then stock. plus i have a 255lh gsx fuel pump floating around my garage somewhere. thats getting thrown in there as well.
im no stranger to nitrous. but am a stranger to anything over a 75 shot.
=o)
ohhh more idea's or brewing!
mwahahahhahah. im gonna take over the vq's

Not sure where that idea came from, my understanding is that Don had the fastest 60' at 1.97 so not sure who could tell you that from experience.

Jim how did you get two tires to spin on that sig pic? Do you have limited slip diff or posi? Just wondering cuz I believe our cars are a one wheel drive vehicle.

It only comes with 35,50,75 jets, so did you just buy a larger replacement jet for 100 shot?
That kit is supposed to run with stock fuel pressure with the included jets. Was it necessary to add the Walbro FP and Sard FPR for the fuel system, or are they remnants from an earlier dry-shot kit?

BTW the solenoids are guaranteed for life and they will even overhaul them every year if you want for just the cost of the postage. (Hear that NOS?)
Its a great system and sure exceeded my expectations. It is truly plug and spray vs plug and pray. (Edited after being corrected by Vyrus, Thanks Cyrus good call.)

I trapped at 103mph at a SLOW track with my NOS dry kit 100 shot...this is un-tuned too.
My E.T was a HORRID 14.0 becuase I was running on street tires and spun pretty much the entire first 300 ft. (2.4 60ft)
I think most of your improvement in E.T. came from your three tenths better 60ft. Although the 104mph trap speed is quite impressive.

Regardless of where the .5 second in ET came from it still came from the change from NOS to NX.
I could probably trap at higher mph's if I went to my street tires or a larger tire, but that would not help my time.
From the getgo I have worked at my 60's trying to get them down long before I started using spray because I knew that was key to the fastest times. I have found that the suspension setup and diameter of your tires make the most difference in 60' times.
A lot of folks don't realize that the fastest is not necessarily the quickest.
