The whistling is normal. Just sucking in air.

It doesnt sound like bad brakes. You know when you first turn on a TV, it kind of has that high pitch sound? Its hard to explain, but personally I think it kinda sounds cool. Im guessing its from the MAF, so any car with one will make that sound with a cone filter. Just at certain low RPMs in certain gears.

it's from the throttle body being only slightly open and the air rushing throught creates a whistle, you can avoid it or make it worse with throttle pressure. i love it, it sounds like a turbo.

Sick turbo puppy

At about 1/4 open, mine sounds like a dog whistle.
I just put more pressure but it cost me a lot more $$$.

I thought about that all day Sunday afternoon sitting in traffic. So I would turn the ac on once in a while. The AC radiator fan sucks in air, hence blowing warm or some air to cool the hot engine part, you know what I mean. And I made sure the poster board didn't touch any hot engine parts, just rested on the hoses and stuff. But I'll be taking that out soon, like you and I said, fire hazzard, and just not worth the risk, coming out tomorrow. But I love the intake though!! Can't wait till this Sunday, putting the Y pipe back on! Going to see what this baby sounds like now. hehehehe

OH by the way Steve, I like the slogan of you business card !! haaha

uhhhhh??? Maybe because I was a test monkey for FCP, and mine isn't powder-coated...mine makes a bit of a high-pitched rushing noise at idle, but when the car goes, it is low-pitched. I have a Y-pipe, and THAT makes a high-pitched noise in low-mid RPM's, but...no whistling.

The whistling sounds are related to the throttle body. My intake has a few different throttle positions where it whistles. If you try, you can make it whistle constantly.

i happen to love that whistling sound......

If you're at wide open throttle you won't hear the whistling.
