HID Kit question

Hello,

are HID kits "generic" ? meaning that as long as they have a bulb for your application (H4, 9005, 9006, etc etc ) then it will work with your car?

I'm wondering because the honda forums have a pretty good deal for the philips 6000K HID kit..

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=195244

ANy info would be appreciated!

after-market hids, direct fit kits will fit any car. you just have to know what type of bulb you need.

i sell the hanabi 6000k hid kit for $395 with shipping and insurance. i only sell this kit here on the org and at my store.

if you need more info please call me at the store at 201-420-6792 after 11am. new york time.

hi,
I too was about to ask what the difference is, also could you tell us what to watch out for, maybe poor signs of quality and what is prone to fail on these?

I read somewhere that you have to have a projector type housing otherwise you wont have a vertical cut off and you will bind oncoming drivers. also that you will have a very skewed beam pattern?

I am very interested in your comments on this, your price seems pretty decent, especally since other members normally sell them used for $350ish, but that still brings up the quality/features question.

Also, my friend and I are building up a 1980 280ZX, it currently has the stock housings in good condition and well, hes been considering HID's and Ive been pushing him towards it, but its really a lack of info deal now.

thank you and I look forward to a response.

something like this has to be done over the phone. it would take me all night to type it up. you can call me at 201-420-6792 after 11am.

or you can try to find some-one near you that has an after market hid kit. not the kind that you glue together, direct fit kits.

and as for used hanabi hids most ppl sell them for $300 to $350.
