Why are you running BKR6E's, because those are stock SR20DE heat range plugs . BTW I paid $1.75 at napa for them .

This is what happens to a BKR6E-11 with a 100-shot and an injector that freezes up.

isn't that more to do with fuel pressure too high than plug?

i can't seem to find those since dealerships are too stupid to go by plug names.. i did some back tracking on courtesy nissan site to see what car it goes to.. and it goes to the VG engine.. however they also list the BKR6E for the VG also... so luck of the draw.. i got the 6E..

Yeah, it's weird. The BKR6E and BKR5E seem to have several possible part numbers. Here are two I know work:

22401-50Y05 BKR5E NGK V-Power
22401-50Y06 BKR6E NGK V-Power

Ultimate Z tried to send me the BKR6E, but when they read the part number, I realized Nissan made a cold/standard plug distinction with the last digit in the part number for the BKR5E/6Es.....

V-Powers add at least 30 or 40 ponies......

Yep, just ask for 6 of them.

Parts database search on nissanparts.cc and nissanautoparts.com confirm those numbers as being real, and of course the 6 now in the VQ and other 6 waiting to go in my VG........

No, I have a paper copy of that one.

Just no time to re-do all that with the Oil Analysis stuff.

I have a part number listed in that original sticky FAQ that is supposed to be for the BKR5E, but it ends up being for a platinum plug........I do also have the BKR5ES standard copper plug, but why turn down the extra 30 or 40 ponies with the V-Power copper plugs....

5e-11s

Here's a typical NGK spark plug part number: BKR6E-11.

A quick run down of the part numbers. Each letter or number has significance in the NGK part number, but the same letter may hold a different meaning depending on where it is placed:

B Thread diameter = 14 mm
P Construction = Projected Insulator Type
(K) Construction = Hex size 5/8 in, projected tip
R Construction = Resistor Type
6 Heat Rating Number = 2 Hot -> Cold
E Thread Reach = 12.7 mm
S Firing End Construction = Standard 2.6 mm diameter center electrode
(VX) Firing End Construction = High performance platinum
(K) Firing End Construction = 2 ground electrodes
(N) Firing End Construction = Special side electrode
(-11) Gap Width = 1.1 mm (0.044 in)
